YES, there are many opportunities to "socialize" with peers.
WHAT HOMESCHOOLING CAN DO FOR YOU.......
Retain information from school work. (Keep in mind that it's normal for kids to need LOTS of repetition.)
Personal/extra attention in some area of academics where your child may be struggling.
Provide a challenging, broad education.
Add Scripture and prayer time to the school day.
Reduce the amount of testing and test anxiety.
Create a schedule that best fits your family.
Cultivate other interests, skills, or a job (for teens).
WHAT HOMESCHOOLING MIGHT HELP YOU WITH.......
Promoting peace in the home.
Improving your child's physical and mental health.
Teaching self-discipline, time management, and a strong work ethic.
Encouraging interaction with adults and children of different ages.
WHY HOMESCHOOLING FAILS......
The school schedule is repeatedly compromised. Remember, EDUCATION IS NOT A CHOICE. It's a legal obligation for your child.
Students and home educators try "to go it alone". People need people. Find a group you can depend on, ask questions, and just have fun with.
The homeschool curriculum is not a good fit for your child or your teaching style. Curriculums are not one size fits all. Educational progress needs to be evaluated once or twice a semester. If something isn't working, check out other curricula.
